Prince Andrew intends to call his brother’s bluff by refusing to leave his mansion, according to a royal source.

The Duke of York would expect to be reimbursed for the millions of pounds he spent on upkeep of the Royal Lodge before leaving the property.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were left “distraught” after King Charles cut a crucial grant that helped his brother maintain his mansion.

“It appears that his brother wishes to evict him,” a source said.

“Andrew and Sarah are distraught because they were given such short notice,” they continued. The Queen passed away only a few months ago.

“He’s not being explicitly kicked out but it’s expected that he won’t be able to afford the maintenance. The Royal Lodge has a swimming pool, 98 acres of land, and is in need of repair.”

According to a new claim from a source, Andrew has no plans to leave the Royal Lodge.

“He [said] he’s not leaving, there’s no chance of that happening, and even if the King wanted him, how would that work?” they told the media.

“The King won’t evict him so there is no chance it will come to that.”

The source added: “If he [the King] wants to spend millions reimbursing him for the money he’s already spent on the property, that’s another matter.”

Earlier this week, a royal commentator told that the Duke of York is now considering pursuing a career in the US.

Angela Levin told reputed News: “I’m hearing that it’s just something he’s thinking about.

“I don’t think he’ll go there; he’s watching what Harry and Meghan are doing.

“The thing is, he and Charles just don’t get on.

“And whereas he had his mother, and he was his mother’s favourite, and she would always help him do what he wants, William just won’t. They are not friends.

“He’s obviously been left a load of money from his mother, and he can take that, and start a new life.”
