Although the Prince and Princess of Wales are known for guarding the privacy of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, they occasionally provide brief updates on how the young family is doing.

There are many stories to choose from, ranging from Kate revealing what Louis said after the late Queen had passed away to Prince William relaying his daughter’s message to the England Lionesses that she is “very good in goal.”

In the past, stories about the young royals have come from encounters with Prince William and Kate by famous people.

Rami Malek, an Oscar winner, told one such tale about the time he offered the couple his babysitting services.

The actor discussed his conversation with the Princess of Wales at the 2019 Bafta Awards, where he won the best actor award for his performance as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel’s talk show.

Prince Louis, the royal couple’s third child, had just been born at the time, and Malek’s series of intimate inquiries seemed to catch Kate off guard.

The comedian said, “The funniest thing about that was, I said, ‘If you ever need a day off, some time off, I’m back-up for you.'” The actor appeared on the programme.

She responds with, “What do you mean?” I say, “I can watch the kids while you guys go out and have fun.”

The actor continued: “What’s fascinating is, they work so hard to get to know everybody – who’s done whatever film they’ve done, their past films’.

“You can see they’ve done their homework. And I just looked at Princess Kate at one point, and I said, ‘This must be exhausting.’ And she said, ‘Why?’

Then Malek brought up the birth of Prince Louis and inquired about the Princess’ well-being: “[I asked,] ‘You just had a baby, right?'” I imagine she was surprised.

“She said, ‘How are you doing?’ [I’m like,] ‘No, how are you?’ And in the most regal, elegant way, she gave me a look. But you can tell. Imagine, you’re dressed to the nines, have to talk to all these actors. “They’re so careful. But it was so cool. I think I caught her off guard for a second. And, you know, had that look of – in the most elegant, professional, royal way – ‘Yes, it’s a lot, having a kid.'”

Malek’s line of inquiry was obviously tolerated by the Prince and Princess of Wales because Prince William invited him to be one of the celebrity hosts at the Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony in Boston last year.
