The reason for King Charles reportedly kicking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle out of Frogmore Cottage has been revealed.

Following the publication of Harry’s autobiography Spare, it has been reported that the new monarch has decided to remove the Sussexes from the home given to them by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The controversial decision is said to have left the couple “stunned” – while two other royals have also been left “appalled.

To make matters worse, Frogmore has reportedly been offered to the disgraced Prince Andrew.

This means Harry and Meghan no longer have a base in the UK and are reportedly arranging for their belongings at Frogmore to be shipped to their home in California.

The Sussexes were told that Frogmore was “needed for someone else,” according to journalist Omid Scobie, one of the authors of Harry and Meghan’s biography, Finding Freedom.

“It’s news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family ‘appalled,'” he explained.

The late Queen gifted Frogmore Cottage to the Sussexes following their wedding back in 2018, so it’s understandably being reported that it has comes as a huge blow.

“It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment,” a couple’s friend told Scobie. “It’s as if [the family] wants to permanently remove them from the picture.”

According to reports, the final straw for Charles was his son’s controversial autobiography Spare, which revealed many of the family’s intimate secrets to the public.

Harry revealed private conversations with his father, who he claims begged his sons to stop fighting after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral.

According to Harry, Charles and William were plotting against him, and his father did not hug him after revealing the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

Charles joked about whether he was Harry’s father and made a ‘bad taste’ joke about rumours that James Hewitt is his real father, according to the prince.

Harry also said he begged Charles not to marry Camilla, who he accused of leaking stories to the press and branded a ‘wicked stepmother’.

While it is unknown whether Harry and Meghan will attend Charles’ coronation, it has been reported that they will be required to remove their belongings from Buckingham Palace shortly after.
