King Charles is said to have left Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “dumbfounded” by his decision to expel the royal couple from Frogmore Cottage.

In a post for Yahoo headlined  “A cruel punishment: The inside story of King Charles’s eviction of Harry and Meghan,” Meghan and Harry’s close friend and biographer Omid Scobie detailed the California-based royal couple’s reaction to the decision.

Scobie says, “It’s news, sources tell me, that has left Harry and Meghan stunned, and at least two members of the Royal Family ‘appalled’.”

According to the author of Harry and Meghan’s memoir Finding Freedom, who cited a source, the pair has been allowed until the summer, after the Coronation, to remove their items after being informed they would only have two weeks.

Frogmore Cottage, which they renovated for an estimated £2.4 million ($2.9 million), was a wedding gift from the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2018.

According to The Sun and Daily Telegraph, it has now been given to Prince Andrew, King Charles III’s disgraced brother.

In January, just days after the release of the Prince’s candid memoir “Spare,” Harry and Meghan were allegedly instructed to evacuate the residence.
