Prince William has been commended by his followers for mentioning his wife, ‘Colonel Catherine,’ as the outgoing Colonel of the Iris Guards.

He expressed delight in being their colonel and grief at passing on the post, but he assured his wife that she will be a “committed, focussed, and incredibly loyal 11th Colonel.”
