 Prince William made a statement. That the 40-year-old Prince of Wales wrote to Alpha United Juniors in Bradford, England, expressing his “great concern” for the circumstance.

The head of Alpha United contacted Kensington Palace to express his frustration with the local FA chapter’s probe, and the royal, who has presided over the FA since 2005, stated he has spoken with the organization about the charges. The FA is England’s national soccer regulatory body.

The source claimed that Prince William responded to a letter that Alpha United chair Mohammed Waheed had submitted to the palace in January. The club first stepped out in November, according to the site, “revealing how for years players as young as seven, have been on the receiving end of obscenities and even threats of violence from the sidelines.”

At the highest level of the game, Prince William has already condemned racism in soccer. He intervened in July 2021 after Team England players Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho were subjected to internet abuse after missing penalty kicks that gave Italy the victory in the Euro 2020 championship final.
