Well-known Pakistani singer Asim Azhar chose not to celebrate his birthday as a strong way to support the Palestinian people who are enduring hardship.

The Palestinian people have sadly seen more than 8,000 lives lost because of ongoing Israeli military attacks, and the count of injured individuals keeps rising. This crisis has also led to critical shortages of basic necessities like water, electricity, and internet, causing immense suffering.

During these difficult times, Azhar used the social platform ‘X’ to share his message. He posted a picture of himself holding the Palestinian flag and stated “Given the current persecution faced by our Palestinian brothers and sisters, I have chosen not to mark my birthday this year.”

Azhar wants people to turn his birthday into a chance to spread awareness about the Palestinian situation and rally support. He urged people, including fellow artists, to use their social media and art platforms to highlight the Palestinian cause and reach more people.
