Mariyam Nafees has finally spoken out. The actor recently took to Instagram Stories to tell how she was being harassed by multiple people who were reaching out to negotiate improper agreements with her just because she is in the media profession.

Mariyam initially posted a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat in which a random number messaged her stating they saw her at the LUX Style Awards. The anonymous person asked if she could spare a few seconds to “plan for a meeting.” When asked why, they said, “For some personal time.” “You can name the amount.”

Mariyam, enraged, responded, “Bet your mom is ashamed to have a child like you. Not every woman is “bought-able”, you swine. Good luck dealing with my friends!”

Another screenshot shows the celebrity interacting with someone on Facebook Messenger, with the individual who approached her discussing “political level parties and bold shoots.” Mariyam said, “Go pimp somewhere else!” She posted the screenshot to her Instagram Story, along with the question, “Is everyone doing the same thing?”

Given that her screenshots elicited “a lot of questions and opinions,” the actress created a question space on Instagram to clarify her position to her followers. One individual inquired if she had located any of the perpetrators. “Pimps and [debauchees] apparently!” she said, “Pimps and [debauchees] apparently! Previously some of them apologised after getting exposed. Yes, my ‘people’ are tracking them down.”

Another Instagram user expressed gratitude to Mariyam. “It’s not about being an actress. It’s being a female. And I am proud of you for being a woman. Stay strong,” To this Mariyam responded, “Thank you! Yes, the ones who are not actresses go through this too and no matter what people say – I’ll expose them. Every. Single. Time.”
