In a recent episode of the show “Zor Ka Jor,” hosted by Sina Pasha, brilliant Pakistani former cricketers Shahid Afridi and Mushtaq Ahmed, who serve as analysts on Samaa Tv’s cricket show, “Zor Ka Jor,” expressed their views. They actively share their opinions on the performance of the Pakistani cricket team in international series. Lately, they were part of a PSL special transmission of the show. In the episode, both senior players demanded self-censorship on media and social media.

When the host discussed the topic of hooting on Imad Wasim by Babar Azam’s fans, Shahid Afridi said, “The players more often face public hooting like Baber faced, Amir faced and now the same happened to Imad, nowadays, media is everywhere, and social media is another curse on people. Why can’t we see the social media trolls in real life, they never came across me in real life, I have not met with such people in my life”

Mushtaq Ahmed also said, “This is what we teach our kids in this program don’t judge players or celebrities based on social media trolling as they are going through a lot of struggles in real life. They have families so we should refrain from negativity. There are a lot of things happening with the people across the globe but we barely see any negative news on international news channels. In Pakistan, we even break the news that stray dogs are drowning in the water, we need to portray a positive image of our country, and there should be self-censorship”.
