In the recent episode of the show “Kya Drama Hai,” Waseem Abbas, a seasoned Pakistani television and film actor with many decades of experience in the media industry, shared his thoughts on the storyline of Ishq Murshid and Bilal Abbas’ acting. He also criticized director Farooq Rind for his flawed direction and discussed the drama serial’s OST. Waseem Abbas has participated in multiple hit dramas, including Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Mere Humsafar, Ashiyana, Din, Family Front, and Landa Bazar. Additionally, he is currently hosting the drama review show “Kya Drama Hai” for 24 News HD.

Talking about the drama, Waseem Abbas said, “Ishq Murshid is successful because it has the prayers of any Murshid (a religious guide). I have seen multiple dramas of Farooq Rind, he is an amazing director, given multiple hit dramas but Ishq Murshid is different. I can’t get that a decent-looking man who looks educated, gave a room to a stranger guy, and his young daughter goes to the rooftop and indulges in romantic conversations with that guy for long hours.”

He added “It is quite an impossible and unacceptable thing in this society. Also, I think Bilal Abbas is a little over the top, a few things he is doing were not needed, and he’s surely overdoing it, also, how can he be this smart to be in multiple places simultaneously, the story has major flaws. I think people started loving it because their chemistry has hooked them, I don’t see any other reason”.

Further, Waseem Abbas stated that Bilal is engaging in overacting in multiple places, noting that while Bilal excels in romantic scenes, he needs to tone down his performance in other scenes, which he finds to be over the top.

While discussing about the drama OST the actor said that Bilal Abbas should express gratitude for ‘Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar,’ as it elevated the drama to another level by making it a hit. He also urged Farooq Rind to address the execution shortcomings. Additionally, he commended Durefishan’s acting and highlighted that the strength of the drama lies in their romantic chemistry.

Fans believe that all the artists reviewing Ishq Murshid are jealous of Bilal Abbas’ acting skills and cannot tolerate his success.
