The drama “Namak Haram” generated high anticipation upon its release due to the comeback of Imran Ashraf and Sarah Khan’s pairing. It performed well on TRP charts and YouTube views. However, its ending, which failed to meet audience expectations, received criticism. For weeks, viewers eagerly awaited Mureed, the son of a rape victim, to seek justice against Amin Qureshi, portrayed by Babar Ali. Unfortunately, the ending was perceived as stupid, abrupt, and lacking coherence.

In the end, Amin Qureshi easily killed Mureed and went to jail, while Asma, portrayed by Sarah Khan, gave birth to their son and raised him as a single mother, enduring a very sad life surrounded by hallucinations of her deceased husband.

Imran Ashraf, currently hosting Mazaq Raat, shared his thoughts on the ending of Namak Haram. He expressed gratitude to everyone for loving the drama. When an audience member suggested that he should have killed Amin Qureshi, he responded that the unexpected ending was not what people anticipated. However, he assured them that they would reunite in another show.
