Khalil ur Rehman Qamar, the most in-demand and famous writer in the Pakistani drama and film industry, has been involved in numerous public disputes, notably after a confrontation with Marvi Sirmed on live television. Various celebrities, including Mahira Khan, called out Khalil ur Rehman Qamar for his behavior on the show. Since then, they have been at odds, and Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has expressed his inability to forgive Mahira for her statement in several interviews.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has excluded Mahira Khan as an option from his projects, and they have not worked together since Sadqay Tumharey. He recently reiterated that he will never forgive Mahira Khan for publicly speaking against him instead of simply calling him and asking for his position.

Previously he said that he would never forgive her or work with her.

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is set to work with Mahira Khan again in his upcoming film Mirza Jutt, where she will feature opposite Humayun Saeed. He stated that while things in the past will remain, they have to work together.
