Chahat Fateh Ali Khan, known for his unconventional singing on social media, has thrown a surprising proposal to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following Pakistan’s disappointing exit from the ICC T20 World Cup.

Currently promoting his debut film “Sabak” in London, Khan expressed his views on the national team’s performance during an interview with a Pakistani private TV channel. He suggested that the PCB needs an experienced cricketer as its chairman and put himself forward for the role.

Khan stated, “If appointed chairman, I will spend four days a week on the ground, personally reviewing players’ performance and coaching.”

He elaborated, “I will select only one coach for the national team and personally oversee how my chosen coach is training the team.”

When asked if he intended to replace Mohsin Naqvi as chairman, Khan clarified, “It’s not about that. I just want Mr. Mohsin Naqvi to calmly consider my offer.”

Pointing out that Naqvi also serves as the Federal Minister for Interior, Khan suggested, “That’s why I think he should hand over the PCB chairman duties to me,”

While emphasizing that his intention wasn’t to criticize Naqvi, Khan highlighted his own experience in first-class cricket and passion for the sport.“I have played first-class cricket; I have experience in the sport, and cricket is my first love,” he affirmed.

He concluded by emphasizing the need for national players to be mentally resilient and pledged to strengthen the team’s mental and emotional aspects.
