Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz, two famous Pakistani celebrities who made headlines this year after performing Hajj, kept their fans updated throughout their pilgrimage through vlogging and Instagram stories. However, their activities drew criticism from many, who felt they should have focused more on worship (ibadat). Recently, Nida Yasir and Yasir Nawaz posted a vlog on their YouTube channel addressing the criticism from social media trolls.

In his vlog, Yasir Nawaz asked Nida Yasir to give a message to those who trolled them for taking selfies at Khana Kaaba and Masjid E Nabwi. Nida Yasir said, “I would pray for their guidance, what else can I say”.

She further said that “she prayed by name for those who requested prayers. The other members at Hajj special transmission were of the view that trolls should be ignored by celebrities and people.”

In addition to this, Yasir Nawaz also captured people taking selfies and pictures in front of the Kaaba to demonstrate that many others were doing the same:
