The Salahuddin Ayyubi series is a joint television venture of Pakistan and Turkiye, based on the life of Muslim warrior Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi. Famous Pakistani and Turkish production houses have produced the series. Season 1 of the series was completed in Turkey and aired there a few months ago. Initially featuring the Turkish cast, Pakistani actor Noor Ul Hassan later made a strong entry as Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jillani in season 1.

The casting for season 2 of Salahaddin Ayyubi has begun, and the series is set to feature a strong cast with two famous Pakistani television stars reportedly signing on. Ahmed Ali Akbar shared the story on his Instagram confirming his presence in season 2.
