Popular writer and poet Khalilur Rehman Qamar has taken legal action against the viral dissemination of explicit videos involving him. Qamar recently approached the Cyber Crime Cell of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to report the incident.

The troubling situation began when Qamar was lured to a woman’s home under the pretense of discussing a new drama project. Instead, he was ambushed by armed men who assaulted him. After allegedly paying a substantial ransom, Qamar was released.

In his complaint, Qamar revealed that the perpetrators blackmailed him for additional money and filmed explicit videos, which they later leaked online after he refused to comply with their demands. He contends that these videos have severely tarnished his reputation.

In addition to his complaint with the FIA, Qamar has filed a case at Sundar Police Station in Lahore, citing the kidnapping incident. As part of the ongoing investigation, Amna Urooj and eleven others are currently in police custody. The alleged mastermind of the operation, Hassan Shah, was apprehended in Peshawar.

The leaked videos reportedly include footage of Qamar with the gang members, including a clip of their initial meeting.
