Zhalay Sarhadi is a well-known Pakistani actress who has worked in many popular dramas like Mere Damad, Uraan, Madiha Maliha, Judwaa, Aks, Digest Writer, and Rang Laaga. These days, fans are loving her performance in the ongoing drama Shirin Farhad. Besides acting, she’s also hosted shows like Shadi Online. Zhalay is married to Amir Anees, and the couple has a lovely teenage daughter.

Recently, Zhalay appeared on Ahmed Ali Butt’s podcast, where she talked openly about modern-day parenting. She shared how today’s parents—especially millennials—are more aware and connected with their children.

“We’re better at parenting now because we’ve seen both sides of life. We grew up before all this technology, but now we understand it too. So we know how to talk to our kids,” Zhalay explained.

She added, “We can ask them what they like to wear, what they’re into, and even who they like in their class. I’ve even asked my daughter Anaya if she likes any boys. I once texted Omair Rana and asked, ‘Is it okay to ask this?’”

Zhalay also said it’s important to ask children what gender they’re interested in because creating open conversations builds trust and understanding.
