Fast-bowler Haris Rauf has taken another impressive wicket-haul in the Big Bash League (BBL) for the Melbourne Stars.

Haris Rauf in his third match against Sydney becomes the second highest wicket taker in the league so far.

Rauf was re-called for the Stars for their clash with the Sydney Thunder at the Sydney Showground Stadium.

The Stars limited the Thunder to 7/142 from their 20 overs, with Rauf the main destroyer.

He took the wickets of Callum Ferguson, Alex Ross and Daniel Sams to finish with figures of 3/24.

Rauf was regularly bowling deliveries above 145km/h+ and was causing real trouble for the Thunder batsmen.

It follows his remarkable 5/27 against the Hobart Hurricanes in Moe last week.

His delivery that dismissed Sams cannoned into the stumps, knocking middle out of the ground and making a sound that would make any bowler smile with glee.

Rauf expressed his delight as he recalled in the team and playing alongside Steyn.

However, the Melbourne side-eye their fourth win of the season when they play Thunder.

Haris Rauf is a Pakistani cricketer.

He made his Twenty20 debut for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy on 5 October 2018.

In November 2018, he was selected by the Lahore Qalandars in the players’ draft for the 2019 PSL tournament.
