He said that online verbal clashes between Shahid Afridi and Gambhir have been going on for a long time, both of them should show wisdom and patience.

“It’s been going on for a long time, I suggest the two of them meet somewhere in the world, sit down together and talk,” the bowling coach said.

The last series between India and Pakistan was played in 2013-2012 and due to ongoing political tensions between the two countries, no series has been played since 2007.

Waqar Younis said that the cricket series could improve relations between the two rival countries.

“I think Pakistan and India must play and both countries should not deprive the fans of good cricket,” he said.
