Pakistan cricket team’s bowling coach Waqar Younis believes it is too early to compare the young yet talented players Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi with him and Wasim Akram.

While talking to reporters via teleconference, Younis said,

“Both of them are talented in their own skin. No doubt, they are future stars of Pakistan but comparing them would be a little earlier. I hope they will go onto serve Pakistan longer and achieve laurels for Pakistan.”

Talking about the Test series, Waqar expressed his support with the team and said he is satisfied with the practice.

“I am satisfied with the way boys have trained in the last three weeks here. I am confident that we will prepare ourselves strongly in the remaining time to challenge England.”

Waqar said that the West Indies vs England Test series is playing a huge role in helping them to plan a lot of things.

“The ongoing series is helping us a lot. I think new rules aren’t too tough. Duke ball is swinging with sweat and so far no bowler has complained about it. It seems like everything is ok.”

To a question about Mohammad Amir’s joining, Waqar said his experience can help them win the series.

“I think he has a lot of experience of playing T20Is and it will surely help us.”
