Former Pakistani cricket player Wasim Akram expressed that England now should tour Pakistan, as the Pakistani team went to England to play the three-match Test and T20I series during the coronavirus pandemic.

As per details, England had visited Pakistan in the year 2005-06 to play three Tests and five ODIs. The three lions England team will be visiting Pakistan in 2022.

During an interview, Wasim Akram said,

“You boys owe Pakistan cricket, and the country, a lot, with the boys coming over here. They’ve been here almost two and half months in the bio-secure environment.”

The king of swings went on to say that,

“if everything goes well, England should tour Pakistan. I promise you they’ll get looked after on and off the field there and every game will be a packed house.”

Akram revealed that the English players, when came to Pakistan to play Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5, had enjoyed their time in the country.

“The English players were there for the PSL. In our team, Karachi Kings – Alex Hales and Chris Jordan. They loved it, they enjoyed it, they got looked after beautifully, so the PSL is a step in the right direction.”

He concluded the interview by saying,

“There is a lot more to see in Pakistan than cricket and players might be frustrated staying in the hotels all the time but hopefully next year we can let them go out to cinemas and shopping centers, while there is also a lot of history in Pakistan.”
