Many reports revealed that the Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar is not in contact with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the chief selector’s post.

The reports further revealed that Akhtar was not contacted by the PCB for the post of the chief selector or any other role. However, the cricket board has also dismissed all the speculations.

It should be mentioned here that earlier the 45-year-old cricketer Shoaib Akhtar himself confirmed the news that he was being contacted by the PCB, offering him a new post for the national cricket team.

Akhtar said,

“Yes, I and PCB are in contact for a post but nothing is finalized yet.”

He further added,

“See, I am ready to serve Pakistan’s cricket once again with a completely changed mindset,” he added.
