Wicket-keeper Jos Buttler and pacer Jofra Archer have returned in England squad for three T20Is and as many ODIs against Australia.

Mark Wood and Sam Curran have also among those who returned the squad. Test captain Joe Root has been left out of the T20 squad but will return for the ODIs.

Player of the ODI series against Ireland, left-arm pacer David Willey has been dropped from both the squads.

Opening batsman Jason Roy, who missed the T20 series against Pakistan due to a side strain, has been left out of the T20 squad but will remain with the squad as he hopes to recover for the ODI series.

Moreover, all-rounder Ben Stokes, who missed the last two test matches against Pakistan to visit his father who was diagnosed with brain cancer, will not take part in this series too.

“These two series against Australia provide an exciting end to the summer. We have selected a strong squad. We are also continuing to develop depth in preparation for the upcoming T20 World Cups,” England national selector Ed Smith said.

However, the three-match T20 series will be played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, with the first game scheduled on September 4.

The three ODIs will take place from Sept. 11-16 at Old Trafford in Manchester.
