As an international player to perform in National T20 Cup, opener Imam-ul-Haq believes that the Balochistan team relies a lot on him to score high runs.

In a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Imam expressed after his amazing knock of 94 in 54 against Southern Punjab, the 26-year-old thinks that openers should stay in the form to win the match.

“Balochistan relies a lot on me to score runs. Even last year I was amongst the runs and that’s why we reached the final,” Imam said.

“It is essential for the openers to perform but unfortunately we were missing out in the last two matches and kept losing wickets,” he further added.

He concluded by saying,

“We both were striking good and decided to score more in the gaps because we know the ball will travel. Credit goes to Harry bhai (Haris Sohail) for playing so good.”

It should be mentioned here that Imam made his highest runs in T20 cricket which included ten fours and four sixes “I tried my best to score a hundred but most importantly we won the match.”
