Pakistan Captain Babar Azam grabs the second position in the ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings as his rating points go from 869 to 871 after playing series with Zimbabwe.

According to the details, Azam’s series-topping 133 runs against Zimbabwe have helped him reduce the gap. The Skipper, who is currently the only one in the top five of all three formats in batting, scored 82 and 51 in the first two matches of the series.

However, he did not bat in the final match as Pakistan won by eight wickets to seal the series 3-0 in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Earlier Babar Azam was appointed the national team’s Test captain, confirmed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), adding that Azhar Ali has stepped down from the role.
