The national squad announced for the tour of New Zealand is undergoing COVID-19 testing at a local hotel.

According to the details the players from Lahore have also reported to the hotel. The national squad and sports staff have also reached the hotel.

Earlier, Misbah-ul-Haq had announced the 35-player squad for Pakistan’s tour to New Zealand. Babar Azam will lead the squad of six openers, 11 middle-order batsmen, three wicket-keepers, five spinners, and 10 pacers.

The contingent will depart on November 23 and spend a mandatory 14-day quarantine period upon their arrival in Lincoln, New Zealand.

Pakistan and New Zealand are to play a three-match T20I series starting December 18. The two-Test series will begin on Boxing Day (December 26).
