In the second match of the Lanka Premier League, thanks to the brilliant innings of Shahid Afridi, the captain of Galle Gladiators and former Pakistan player known as Boom Boom, the Gal Gladiators gave Jaffna Stallions a target of 176 runs to win.

The toss of the match in Hambantota was won by Galle Gladiators captain Shahid Khan Afridi and he decided to bat first.

Gladiators’ five batsmen were out for a total of 93, but captain Shahid Afridi with the help of 6 sixes and 3 fours scored 58 off 23 balls to help the team score 175 runs.

Apart from Afridi, Gladiators’ Gunathilaka scored 38, Rajapaksa 21, Azam Khan 20 and Jayasuriya 17 runs.
