Former Australian captain Steve Smith, who is ranked number one in the ECC Test rankings, has declared Babar Azam as his favorite Pakistani cricketer.

During the question and answer session on Instagram, when asked to name his favorite Pakistani player, the Australian cricketer revealed that he enjoys watching Pakistan captain Babar Azam batting in all three formats.

This is not the first time. Steve Smith has praised Babar Azam because earlier this year Steve Smith was also asked for his views on the 26-year-old Pakistani batsman.

Steve Smith said,

“Babar Azam is a very good player, he has a lot of time when he is batting.”

Earlier this week, Indian off-spinner Ravi Chandran Eshwan also shared on his YouTube channel former Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamam-ul-Haq. He praised Babar. He said that Babar Azam looks like a million dollar player, he has scored a century in Australia, it is very fun to watch his batting. It may be recalled that Babar Azam has been included in the International Cricket Council’s list of top 5 batsmen in all formats.
