Mohammad Amir, who recently retired from national cricket team due to differences with management has called to put an end to scary dressing room culture.

According to the details, Amir while addressing media in Lahore, said that “Give players some space and freedom. Put an end to this scary environment in the dressing room, these very players will win you matches.”

He said that “I am not bigger than cricket board or cricket. But I can’t deliver with this management and its mindset.”

“They are saying Misbah and Waqar have got nothing personal against me but I know what is personal and how I was sidelined slowly,” he said.

Amir said he is not urging the PCB to sack anyone as it is up to the board. He said it is not necessary that a good cricketer could also be a good coach.

Weighing on the early retirement of Mohammad Amir, former Pakistan cricket team captain Shahid Khan Afridi said that dispute between coaches and the fast-bowler is part of Pakistan cricket’s old tradition.

“They should work together for the sake of the country’s respect,” said Afridi.

The former captain also spoke about the dropping of Shoaib Malik. He commented that the all-rounder should be brought back in the team before the T20 World Cup.
