Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has named Haroon Malik as new chairman for Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalization Committee.

According to the details, PFF in its Twitter post said that Haroon Malik has vowed to fulfil the mandate given by FIFA to conduct the PFF elections in a ‘fair, equitable and transparent manner’.

Mr. Malik’s appointment was confirmed by FIFA on Tuesday. FIFA also announced that it has replaced three of the four members of the previous NC and appointed Mr. Haris Azmat, Mr. Saud Azim Hashmi and Mr. Shahid Khokhar as the new members.

“It is an honour and a great responsibility to take on the role of Chairman Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee,” said Mr. Malik. “I approach this with a deep resolve to move Pakistan Football forward.”

He said that, “We will continue to build on all the good work the outgoing FIFA Normalization Committee has done so far, and progress towards completing the elections and fulfilling mandate given by FIFA in a fair, equitable and transparent manner. At the same time, ensuring day-to-day operations of PFF run smoothly, delivering value to stakeholders and leveraging competitions. Let’s get ready for kickoff,” added the PFF NC Chairman.
