Pakistan need 88 to go 1-0 up in the series against South Africa
Pakistan need 88 runs to win the first test against South Africa after the visitors lost their last wicket at 245 runs on day four.
South Africa succumb to the guile and craft of spin, now Pakistan need 88 runs for an historic win over the Proteas at Karachi National Stadium.
Pakistan started the day needing six wickets and have quickly wrapped up the South African innings. Hasan Ali struck with the first ball of the day, sending back Maharaj and Yasir got the all-important wicket of de Kock soon after.
Bavuma and Linde showed some fight as the pair added 42 runs for the 7th wicket, but too was broken by some sharp fielding by Imran Butt.
Moreover the tail was not ready to stick around which meant Bavuma had to take risks and he perished doing that.
Nauman Ali was the chief wrecker today as he ran through the lower order but it was set up by Yasir who picked up four top order batsmen. Nauman Ali also became the 12th Pakistani player to take 5 wickets on debut.
In the last 10 overs, South Africa added just 11 runs and lost 4 wickets.
