Barcelona confirm ‘Sergio Aguero’ signing from ‘Manchester City’

Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

According to the media reports, Sergio Aguero who hails from Argentina already been self-isolating after being identified as a close contact of someone infected.

He took to his Twitter handle and informed that:

After a close contact, I’ve been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for COVID 19. I had some symptoms and I’m following doctor’s orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!

He missed games against Birmingham, Brighton, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa as he isolated himself on January 10.

Sergio Aguero is one of a number of positive coronavirus cases at City since Christmas. Kyle Walker, Gabriel Jesus, Ederson and Ferran Torres are among the senior players also to have been forced to isolate in recent weeks.

Tennis Icon Andy Murray also went into isolation last week after testing positive for the novel Covid-19 which is set to impact his preparations for February’s delayed Australian Open.

Andy Murray has already been self-isolating for several days and the Australian Open is trying to provide some leeway within its strict quarantine rules to get players and staff there.

The former world No.1 is understood to be in good health and isolating at his Surrey home. Murray has not played an ATP Tour match since last October.

However, according to a media report, the former world number one is still hopeful to make a comeback.
