Ex- Pakistani star cricketer Shahid Afridi will lead Muzaffarabad Tigers in the inaugural edition of Kashmir Premier League (KPL).

Shahid has been appointed as the skipper and president by franchise Muzaffarabad Tigers.

Shahid Afridi said in a statement that,

“I am honored to become the president of KPL. I have never felt such gratitude being the ambassador of any other league around the world,”

“This league will play an important role in highlighting young cricketers in Kashmir which has talent in bulk. I aim to build a cricket academy in Kashmir to promote young cricketer by providing them ample opportunities.” He added.

Keep in mind that, KPL is starting from April 1 to 10 in Mirpur and Muzaffarabad and there were six teams will participate in the tournament includes Rawalakot Hawks, Bagh Stallions, Muzaffarabad Tigers, Mirpur Royals, Kotliu Panthers, and Overseas Warriors.
