Star footballer Ronaldo rejects to promote tourism in Saudi Arabia

The Portuguese star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has refused to promote tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

As per reports, Ronaldo rejected an offer that would see his image be used on publicity material for Saudi tourism.

The Juventus star football player was offered an annual payment of $7.3 million the deal reportedly saw Cristiano making periodic visits to Saudi Arabia, while his image would be publicized to promote tourism in the country.

Saudi Arabia has also approached Barcelona’s legend Lionel Messi for the same deal. Saudi wants to strengthen tourism as part of its 2030 strategy.

This all process is to boost the Saudi economy and improve the country’s international image.

This is not the first time that an offer rejected by celebrities.
