PSL6: a big blow to gladiators Viv Richards to miss PSL 2021 due to Covid-19

The former champion team Quetta Gladiator’s mentor Sir Vivian Richards will miss the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) due to the Covid-9 pandemic, the franchise has confirmed the news.

In a statement issued by the franchise Quetta Gladiators, it is confirmed that he will not be a part of the PSL 6.

“Quetta Gladiators mentor Sir Vivian Richards will not be part of the Gladiators squad in this PSL after he decided to stay home given the serious Covid situation all around the world,” the statement said.

Nadeem Omar, the owner of Gladiators said,

“He was always an important person in our camp. We all will miss him and without him, our dugout will look deserted,”

“We are going through a difficult situation due to COVID but I hope that next year we will overcome this and Sir Viv Richards will be back with us, cheering and motivating the team.”
