Cricket Australia is finding a way to reschedule the South Africa tour, which was postponed due to the rising cases of Coronavirus cases, “as soon as possible” only if the health situation and dates allow the cricket board.

Cricket Australia chief Nick Hockley has said that,

“Australia pulled out of the three-Test tour slated for March-April citing an “unacceptable level of health and safety risk to players, support staff and the community”.

Kangaroos had postponed a test match series tour to South Africa the previous month citing the risks of the coronavirus in the country.

This decision of Australia angered the South African Board and highlighted that it had suffered a significant amount in Australia’s safety demand. To seek redress, the South African Board had written to the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Hockley further said in his statement that,

“We would like to reschedule it as soon as possible, providing it is safe to do so, and there is time available in the calendar,”

“Now, that’s not a simple task. Through the pandemic and quarantine periods, there is a lot of cricket that has been rescheduled.

“But we’re right in the middle of constructive discussions and hopefully those discussions will be resolved soon.”
