Pakistan and South Africa will face each other in the third and final ODI match of the series at the SuperSport Park in Centurion.

After losing the series opener by three wickets in Centurion last Friday, South Africa bounced back to win the second match by 17 runs despite the best efforts of the Fakhar Zaman, who was run out 193.

Fakhar Zaman registered the second-highest score in a losing cause in ODI history and the highest ever score in a chase as he hit incredible 18 fours and 10 sixes in his innings before falling seven runs short of becoming the second player to have scored multiple ODI double-centuries.

On the other hand, all-rounder Shadab Khan has been ruled out from the rest of the series against South Africa.

Shadab is suffering from a left toe injury during the second one-day international (ODI) against Proteas.

A press release by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that,

“X-rays conducted following the match revealed an “intra articular communicated fracture” though there is neither any displacement nor angulation,”

“The injury will be treated conservatively and Shadab will undergo a four-week rehab.”
