All six Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, Pakistan Cricket Board, will transfer the remaining matches of the sixth season of the tournament to the United Arab Emirates (United Arab Emirates) from Karachi.

The request was made in a letter last week and the board is examining its plans.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament Twenty20 has also been suspended indefinitely due to the country’s Covid-19 crisis, IPL President Brijesh Patel told Reuters on Tuesday.

Pakistan also faces an increase in Covid-19 cases that could have led to the request.

The teams were initially due to arrive in Karachi on May 23 to begin the seven-day quarantine period. Matches were to start on June 2, culminating in the final of June 20.

Previously, the PCB decided to postpone the sixth edition of the HBL PSL, after several positive cases of Covid-19, on March 4.
