At least for a while there, mortals could be related to Paula Creamer. After 18 months away from the game, she felt like all of us on the field when she looked at her father, coach or fiancee and said, “What the hell is going on here? It’s like I can’t get in touch. Is this really happening? ”

“She came back quickly,” said Creamer, “but for the first month, I thought, my God full of grace. It was embarrassing. It was bad. It certainly humiliated me.”

Creamer arrives at the Pure Silk Championship this week, his first LPGA in over 18 months.

“When I saw her say, ‘OK, here we are, back to him,'” said Creamer of his group. “It just came to our attention then. Small curved balls are always thrown here and there. It will be fun.”
