New Zealand’s eight key players likely to miss Pakistan tour

New Zealand are likely to be without their eight star players for the upcoming tour of Pakistan due to the remaining matches of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Black Caps are set to tour the country for the first time in more than a decade for three ODIs and five T20Is in the month of September.

As per Cricbuzz, skipper Kane Williamson along with Trent Boult, James Neesham, Lockie Ferguson, Tim Seifert, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Mitchell Santner, Finn Allen, and Scott Kuggeleijn are unlikely to come to Pakistan for the historic tour.

The cash-rich T20 league was postponed earlier this year after coronavirus outbreak which left many players testing positive for the pathogen.

The report further stated that experienced pacer Tim Southee or wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Latham are likely to lead the Kiwis on the tour.

Rawalpindi will host the three-match ODI series from September 17 whereas the five-match T20I series will be played in Lahore from October 3.
