Afghanistan Cricket Appointed Younis Khan as Batting Coach

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced former Pakistani batsman Younis Khan’s appointment as batting coach. They initially signed him on a short term deal, however, it can be extended later.

He will join former teammate Umar Gul (bowling coach) and former English batsman Graham Thorpe (head coach) in the coaching unit.

Talking about Younis and Gul’s appointment ACB chairman stated, “Younis Khan and Umar Gul have rich experience of international cricket and I am sure they will help our boys overcome the concerns they have got in the batting and bowling departments.”

Younis Khan retired as the only Pakistan batsman to score 10, 000 test runs. He was involved Pakistan team as a batting consultant but he resigned after only 6 months citing differences with cricket board.
