Anton Roux appointed as Sri Lanka’s National Fielding Coach

Anton Roux, who captained the Netherlands men’s team after playing first-class cricket for South Africa, will be in charge of fielding for all national teams and the High Performance Center in Sri Lanka.

He previously worked for Nottinghamshire County as an assistant fielding coach.

The Executive Committee also made appointments to the ‘A’, U19, and Emerging squads as part of the HPC’s ongoing restructure.

Avishka Gunawardene (head coach) and Upul Chandana (fielding coach) were among those named to the ‘A’ team.

Jehan Mubarak has been named head coach of the U19 team, while Ruwan Kalpage has been named head coach of the Emerging team.

All other appointments, with the exception of Roux’s, took effect on March 1, 2022.
