Bridges played a game-high 47 minutes, scoring 31 points (12-17 FG, 4-4 3FG, 3-3 FT), 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocks while Suns standout Devin Booker was out with an injury.

Bridges’ mother worked for the Sixers, as @digitalgr8nes1 pointed out, but Philadelphia chose to draught and trade Bridges for Zhaire Smith and a 2021 first-round pick on draught night.

During the 2021-22 season, Bridges has developed into one of the NBA’s top ascending wing players for one of the league’s greatest teams, averaging 14.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.4 blocks while shooting 53.4 FG% / 36.9 3P% / 83.4 FT%.

The Sixers, on the other hand, are deficient in both perimeter defence and three-point shooting. They’ve dropped two straight games after holding a 3-0 series lead over the Raptors in their quarterfinals series, which resumes on Thursday in Toronto.
