Pakistan cricket team skipper Babar Azam broke another record after he scored 114 runs against Australia, leaving behind former skipper turned Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Pakistan on Tuesday registered a fantastic victory against visitors at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore as Babar Azam-led Green Shirts accomplished a target of 349 runs with six wickets in hand.

The nail-biting clash between Pakistan and Australia saw the green caps put in a world-class performance, while also setting records.

First, Pakistan registered the highest successful run chase in ODIs after defeating the Kangaroos by six wickets in the second ODI.

The second-highest run chase was against Bangladesh of 327 runs in Mirpur in 2014.

Second, Babar broke the record for highest individual runs for a Pakistani skipper against Australia in ODIs.

The record was previously held by Imran Khan when he played an 82-run inning in 1990.
