Pakistan is set to visit the Netherlands to play three one-day internationals in August. The series was postponed in 2020 amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

The three ODIs will be a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League.

This will also be the first bilateral series between the two countries with three matches scheduled on August 16, 17 and 21.

Both sides came face-to-face in the ICC CWC 1996 and 2003, and in the Champions Trophy 2002.

Zakir Khan, PCB director, said: “We are pleased that with the support of the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB), we have been able to reschedule the series, which is important to the growth and development of cricket in Netherlands as well as to the two teams’ chances of progressing directly to the 2023 World Cup.

“Our men’s national cricket team had an excellent 2021-22 season and I am confident they will build on the momentum to entertain expat Pakistanis and the Dutch spectators with good cricket. This series will also help KNCB attract new and young audiences towards the game.”

The Netherlands are currently at the 13th spot with only two wins in ten matches while Pakistan is at 9th with six wins in 2 games.
