The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected rumors that the idea of drop-in pitches has been dropped.

The PCB stated in a statement that it wished to clarify that the project was being carried out and that an order had been placed for the import of Australian clay, which is expected to arrive in Pakistan next month.

The PCB announced that it had hired Damian Hogg, the head curator of Adelaide Oval, as a consultant to help with the drop-in pitches project.

He will visit Pakistan next month to meet with local curators, following which he will oversee the project’s implementation.
