Quick left arm Mustafizur Rahman is in line to return to red-ball cricket after being picked in Bangladesh’s team for their Caribbean tour next month.

Mustafizur hasn’t played red-ball cricket for Bangladesh since a home series against the West Indies in February last year, but he’ll be back in the five-day setup for the two-Test series against the Caribbean side next month.

Bangladesh will face West Indies in two Test matches as part of the World Test Championship (2021-2023), the first of which will begin on June 16 in Antigua.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz, an all-rounder, has been recalled to the 16-man Test squad after recovering from a hand injury, while Mosaddek Hossain might play his first Test match since 2019 after winning a recall.

The Test squad, which will be captained by Mominul Haque, includes star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, while veteran Mushfiqur Rahim will miss the visit to participate in the Hajj pilgrimage.
