Baseball training camp underway in Gujranwala ahead of Qualifiers

The training camp for the national baseball team is underway at Ajwa City, Gujranwala to prepare for the upcoming World Baseball Classic Qualifier 2022.

The tournament will be held in Panama City, Panama on September 28 this year.

Several players are participating in the pool session as a part of training.

Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) President Syed Fakhar Ali Shah, said, “To prepare for the event, the PFB has started training camp of the Pakistan team at AJWA City Gujranwala,”

He further said, “The federation has hired a US coach for one month. Randall Arms specializes in pitching and that is why the camp is focusing on this area. His presence will surely benefit the national players.”

Randall said that it is necessary to reamin physically fit to be able to perform well at sports. Swimming is one of the excersises that helps players to build up stranght and stamina.

“Swimming is very important in building physical fitness.”

He further said that it helps players to freshen up too.
