Next season, Antonio Conte will be the head coach of Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite Spurs qualifying for the Champions League, there was still question about the Italian remaining on.

However, the announcement in midweek that ENIC, the club’s owners, will invest £150 million in the club has allayed fears that Tottenham would not fulfil Conte’s criteria for development.

On Friday, Conte met with Fabio Paratici, the club’s director of football, in Italy to reaffirm his commitment to the club.

Conte’s contract may be extended, although it is unclear whether he will do so.

The 52-year-current old’s contract expires in 2023, although he has the option to extend it for another 12 months.

Conte took over as manager of Tottenham Hotspur in November of last year and led the team to fourth place in the Premier League.

However, as late as February, he appeared to indicate that he was unhappy at the club, seemingly displeased with the scenario he had inherited.

Conte expressed his frustration after the team’s fourth loss in five Premier League games against Burnley on February 22nd, saying, “If the problem is the coach, I am ready to go.”

In an interview with Sky Italia, he appeared to challenge Spurs’ transfer strategy, but afterwards clarified that his remarks had been mistranslated.

Tottenham, on the other hand, closed the season strongly, and he was “extremely thrilled” after a 3-0 north London derby triumph against Arsenal on May 12th.
