The 19-year-first old’s season on the WTA Tour has been a steep learning curve since then.

Since then, Raducanu has dealt with injury, illness, coaching changes, setbacks, and some notable victories as he adjusts to the unrelenting demands of elite-level tennis.

We’ve summed up her story so far ahead of her highly anticipated Roland Garros debut.

Raducanu won two and lost three of her subsequent 2021 matches, losing in her first two appearances after byes at the rescheduled Indian Wells and the Upper Austria Ladies Linz, both after reaching the Transylvania Open quarterfinals.

This year began with a 6-0 6-1 loss to Elena Rybakina at the Sydney Tennis Classic, and she has seven wins and nine losses on the WTA Tour in 2022.

Raducanu won a remarkable 6-0 2-6 6-1 victory over former US Open winner Sloane Stephens in a box-office round one meeting at the Australian Open, where she lost in straight sets to Danka Kovinic.

Caroline Garcia was another prominent loser in Indian Wells before Raducanu was eliminated in the round of 32 by Petra Martic in three sets.
